A Visit To Donkey Sanctuary
Focusing and promoting animal welfare.
Exploring Animal Nepal Equine Sanctuary"
On December 1st, as a part of Roots and Shoots club activities of the Jane Goodall Institute Nepal, the enthusiastic students of grade 9 from New Star Pole School, Kadaghari, Kathmandu, went on an eye-opening visit to the 'Animal Nepal Equine Sanctuary (Donkey Sanctuary) located in Dukuchhap, Lalitpur.

There, students learned about the significance of animal welfare, recounting the inspiring stories of donkeys, mules, hinnies, horses, dogs, bulls, turkeys, and other rescued animals, shedding light on their rescue journey and the care they receive at the sanctuary. Our experts elaborated on the day-to-day life of these animals- their diet, the devoted caretakers ensuring cleanliness, and the holistic approach to their well-being.
The session not only touched upon the animals' lives but also provided a valuable comparison between the Zoos and the sanctuaries. In short, this was a brief but impactful segment, that emphasized the importance of animal welfare and animal rights, encouraging the positive impact of adopting homeless dogs over purchasing.
