Celebrating Success: Certificate Distribution for the Travelling Theatre Program.
Details of the day:
(22nd march, 2024)
We are thrilled to share the joyous moments from our recent certificate distribution ceremony held on 22nd March 2023 at kar.ma cafe in Jhamsikhel. The Jane Goodall Institute Nepal (JGIN) organized this event to acknowledge and appreciate the remarkable efforts put forth by everyone involved in our Travelling Theatre program, a significant initiative aimed at raising awareness about vulture conservation.
The Travelling Theatre program, conducted from March 2022 to February 2023, was a collaborative effort between JGIN, Bird Conservation Nepal, and Children and Youth First: Life Vision Academy. It brought together 500 enthusiastic students, 100 dedicated adults, and engaged 6 communities across the East of Terai region and Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve.
Led by Miss Haushala Thapa, the students of CYF: Life Vision Academy played a pivotal role in showcasing theatrical performances centered around vulture-related stories. These performances not only entertained but also educated audiences about the importance of vulture conservation. Through this initiative, we aimed to instill a sense of responsibility towards protecting vultures and their habitats.
During the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were distributed to CYF: Life Vision Academy students who actively participated in theatrical activities, as well as to Miss Haushala Thapa for her invaluable contribution to the success of the project. Additionally, an exhibition featuring a book titled "Misunderstood Birds: The Vulture" was showcased, highlighting stories written by the students of CYF.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the Travelling Theatre program a resounding success. Together, we are making a positive impact on vulture conservation efforts and inspiring communities to join us in this important mission.
