Water Spout
Short Insight: Unpredictable precipitation patterns, climate change, and global warming have resulted in a shortage of water. The decline in water courses has also led to a drop in birdlife, including stopovers by migratory birds. This results in degrading bird diversity and disbalance in the ecosystem. Placing artificial water spouts in different places may be a small step to stopping it.
About our program
The young enthusiasts from Swostishree Gurukul share their excitement as they set up small water containers made out of old plastic bottles.
These small containers placed in different places serve as a source of drinking water for birds.
With these mini efforts, the kids are contributing to saving the lives of birds, and at the same time reviving connections with their surroundings.
With the stories they tell as sweet as the chirping of a young bird, they hope that both their stories and the chirping live on…..
